u know we Dj /production crew .. love playing with our smoke machines ..... many a times ppl ask me whatz is the smoke made up of .... most of them ask me if its dry ice ....... now i Dj Kryptonite vanan will teach u guys Smoke 101 !
Many commercial smoke machines use 'fog juice' that consists of glycols, glycerine, and/or mineral oil, with varying amounts of distilled water. The glycols are heated and forced into the atmosphere under pressure to create a fog or haze. Some homemade recipes for fog juice are:
- 15%-35% food grade glycerine to 1 quart distilled water
- 125 ml glycerine to 1 liter distilled water
(glycerine creates a 'haze' at concentrations of 15% or less and more of a fog or smoke at concentrations higher than 15%)
- Unscented mineral oil (baby oil), with or without water
(I can't vouche for the safety of using mineral oil for fog juice) - 10% distilled water: 90% propylene glycol (dense fog)
40% distilled water: 60% propylene glycol (quick dissipating)
60% water: 40% propylene glycol (very quick dissipation)
- 30% distilled water: 35% dipropylene glycol: 35% triethylene glycol (long-lasting fog)
- 30% distilled water: 70% dipropylene glycol (dense fog)

i was sitting at home bored. then i was telling divi ... i think its time i get a new DJ headset since i got one big event coming this Friday! she passed me some cash and said get something cool ! i was like thanks, and took a bus to sim lim, i could not wait to get there can check out the headsets ! when i first go there i went to the technics distributer to check out my all time fav headsets technics rp-dh1200 . i had a major heart ache when i found out the price it was way above my budget so i decided to go check out other brands . then i found a sennheiser headset (the same one that dj killawill has) i saw the price and asked the uncle "yo unc whatz the best offer u can give me on this " ."sorry ah this sop all fic price one orr". then i was like fuck then i called divi and ask if she could pass me another 20 bucks , she said she was dry . then i was shiT !!! so i took a long walk around sim lim then found a shop hidden in the back lanes dealing with STANTON products . then i saw it !! DJ.PRO 300 (dj funky sathiya uses at naughty nine) then i was like uncles how much it this !! the price was just rite!!and so DJ Kryptonite headset !!
its super cool it a monaural headset in other words only one sided perfect for sound monitoring and mixing !

Well today started of with a visit to the polyclinic to get an MC !! then after which i was lazing at home complaning to my mother about not getting any show to spin at . just when i ended my bragin my phone rang! who could it be ? it was non other then ragu our club amaran staff "Vanan can u spin today at Amaran". i said sure. and change my gear and took my CD bags and left for amaran ! when i got there i was shocked to see the live band had left and there was no Dj also . when i got to the console i saw gopal(one of the owners) trying to deejay .. lol . he suxed at it . then i took over . i spined till abt 12am and all i got my hard work was
10 dollars cab fare and
one jug !!! this is one experince i will never forget in my entire life !
